1. Heat the oven to 375 degrees.
2. Coat 2 baking sheets with some nonstick cooking spray.
3. Stir together the flour, salt and soda in a medium bowl.
4. Beat together the butter and sugar in a small bowl until light and fluffy.
5. Beat in the banana, ginger and vanilla.
6. Beat in the flour mixture.
7. Drop the batter by rounded tablespoons onto sheets.
8. Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly golden brown and the edges and set.
9. Let the cookies stand on the baking sheets for 2 minutes.
10. Transfer the cookies to a wire rack.
11. Whisk together the contents of the glaze until good glazing consistency.
12. Reserve 2 tablespoons.
13. Frost the tops of the cookies with the remaining glaze.
14. Add 2 drops of yellow food coloring to the reserved glaze.
15. Whisk in a few drops of milk for a good drizzling consistency.
16. Dip a fork into the thinned glaze and drizzle over the frosted cookies.
