Butter Toffee Cookies

 
Ingredients -
4 Ounces Butter Toffee Candy, crushed (1/2 cup)
2 Cups Flour, sifted
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 Teaspoon Sea Salt
3/4 Cup Salted Butter
1 Cup Brown Sugar, firmly packed
1/4 Cup Sugar
1 Egg
1-1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
 
Preparation:

1. Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt.

2. Cream the butter and sugars thoroughly mixing.

3. Add the egg and vanilla.

4. Beat well to blend.

5. Blend in the dry ingredients gradually, mixing thoroughly.

6. Shape into balls using a rounded teaspoonful of dough for each.

7. Flatten to 1/2 inch thickness using the the bottom of a glass that has been floured.

8. Cover each cookie with about 1/2 teaspoon of the crushed toffee.

9. Bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes.

10. Remove from baking sheet immediately and cool on a wire rack.

ost cookie recipes call for a preheated oven. Don’t skip this step. Allow 10 minutes for preheating to 300 F.

Cooking Time

Most cookies should remain on the baking sheet 1 to 2 minutes after removal from the oven to continue cooking, cool, down, and firm up.
